Application: Guide Rollers for Clean and Vacuum Environments

Smoothness combined with low noise and high speed capabilities are necessary to meet the demands of the semiconductor industry.
Modern Linear guide rollers are as smooth as they are quiet.
Guide rollers are capable of 2x the speed of ball bushings and ball rail guides. Our linear motion systems are only limited by the rotary speed of the radial bearing, while recirculating guides are limited by the sharp turn the balls must make as they enter and leave the load zone.
Guide rollers can run without external lubrication between the track and rollers, creating a system which requires little maintenance or adjustment once installed.
Clean Room Roller Option
Specifications & Materials
Our Studded Clean Room Roller is dimensionally the same as our standard guide roller. The stud is made of 304 stainless steel for elimination of sulfur contamination. The roller outer tire is made of 440c stainless steel, and the inner bearing is full ceramic with a stainless snap ring holding it in place.
Clean room rollers can be run with our standard lubrication, or with a custom grease specification based on the application requirements. With the addition of the full ceramic bearing, the roller can run with no lubrication at all.
Vacuum Roller Option
Specifications & Materials
Our Studded Vacuum Roller is dimensionally the same as our standard guide roller. The stud is made of 304 stainless steel for elimination of sulfur contamination. The roller and balls are made of 440C stainless steel, and the nut is 18-8 stainless for extra corrosion resistance.
These material properties allow the roller to meet vacuum room standards, while retaining the same design as standard guide rollers.
These rollers feature a hex socket on the front face for ease of installation.
